CBE is hiring a Capital Projects Manager for its client.
Requisitos
Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline and significant (10+ years) of frontline leadership experience within the resources industry;
Strong technical expertise across the whole TSF project lifecycle; feasibility & design, approvals, planning, engineering, procurement, construction management, mining operations and closure / rehabilitation;
Previous experience in a similar role on large scale mining / civil projects, including a demonstrated ability to lead & manage a large, diverse & high performing team
Proven experience with, and the ability to make informed decisions on technical matters including: drilling, field investigations, laboratory testing, advanced material characterisation, seepage analysis, slope stability analysis, deformation analysis and site closure design and construction;
Demonstrated experience in major capital project planning, scheduling, execution and reporting;
Proven organisational skills and ability to prioritise multiple tasks and competing deadlines;
Proactiveness and proven capacity to think conceptually and make assertive decisions
African expatriate experience and portuguese language skills are highly desirable;
Exceptional communication skills and the ability to work cohesively with team members at all levels;
Exhibit values-based leadership at all times and encourage / drive these behaviours in others
Instil a high-performance culture within the Engineering Projects team which is consistent with the Company’s Vision &Values;
Mentor, train & develop our Mozambican workforce to develop future leaders within the Balama team;
Drive a culture of regular coaching and mentoring with direct reports through facilitation of regular meetings and one-on-one engagement;
Identify the appropriate skills, competencies and experience required within the Balama TSF Project team, and implement strategies to address any gaps;
Funções
Ensure the safe and timely delivery of the Balama TSF Project including; geotechnical investigation, foundation design, design and assessment of mine waste / water management strategies (including traditional and dry stacked deposition technologies), hazard & risk assessments, project monitoring & controls, mine planning & financial evaluations, construction management & quality assurance;
Provision of specialist / expert advice for technical issues related to the Balama TSF Project;
Lead the Balama TSF Project Steering Committee and provide regular reports and technical guidance to the TSF;
Governance Committee;
Develop strong working relationships with key internal & external stakeholders including engineering consultants and civil contractors;
Management of key contractors including responsibility for safety performance, project schedule, quality and budget deliverables;
Perform independent technical reviews of engineering reports and designs;
Establish systematic & disciplined daily management practices in which the correct actions are assigned, measured & reported, and material issues are escalated to the GM Balama Graphite Operation;
Ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory / license commitments and obligations relating to the Balama TSF Project;
Develop & implement systems and measures that appropriately assess the operating performance metrics of the Balama;
TSF Project and direct reports;
Contribute to Executive Committee (ExCo) reporting as required.
